I think any relationships that's too open, would never last
.....
if a man can tolerate his SO to be too close and chummy with
other men outside of the relationship .... that means that she
doesn't really mean that much to him in the first place, and vice
versa ......
alarm bells should ring .....
OMG Fatum... there is NO way that any ONE person can fulfill a
woman's full spectrum of needs!! And vice versa
too!!
It would be incredibly boring and restrictive if you can only
communicate and go out with ONE man for the rest of your
life!! 
In fact, I used to advocate what you're advocating now - total
and unquestionable exclusivity. BUT, over the years, I've
grown up and come to understand that actually, I much wish that
there could be multiple relationships - some men are good as
lovers, others good to talk heart-to-heart with, and yet others
make good providers, but no one man can be EVERYTHING!
Just like no one woman can be EVERYTHING
either. Different people play different roles in our
lives. And whilst one can remain faithful in a marriage, it's
sheer folly to cut off communication and ties with ALL the other
friends of the opposite sex in their lives!
